La Malbaie-Pointe-au-Pic, is located in the heart of the Charlevoix region, thirty minutes from Baie St-Paul and an hour from Tadoussac. Perched on the shores of the St Lawrence River, at the mouth of Malbaie Bay, Pointe-au-Pic is the very cradle of the Canadian tourism industry, having attracted vacationers for some 200 years now. In the middle of the last century, great white ships carried travelers from New York, Toronto and Montreal as they sought a change of scenery. Upon their arrival at the Pointe-au-Pic dock, these tourists would check into the Manoir Richelieu, which, in 1999, underwent extensive renovations to restore it to its original splendor. On the chemin des Falaises, where the Nids Douillets is located, you will still find a number of splendid tourist houses that date back to the first half of the 20th century. Many of these imposing villas have been converted into auberges, including the renowned Auberge des Falaises. All the major inns offer visitors an exquisite dining experience, boasting menus that are partially comprised of products from the Charlevoix region.        Enlarge localisation map As well, La Malbaie-Pointe-au-Pic, is home to the Casino de Charlevoix, the Club de golf Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu - the oldest golf club in the country, Murray Bay, whale watching tours and a beautiful bike path.
